SCAP-Gattaran blesses animals in celebration of Season of Creation 2026

SCAP-Gattaran blessed animals on October 4 following the parish Masses as part of its observance of the Season of Creation 2026 and the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron of ecology. The blessing invited families to recognize animals as part of God’s creation and to embrace their responsibility to care for them with compassion, respect, and gratitude.

SCAP - Gattaran concludes Season of Creation with tree seedlings for families

SCAP-Gattaran concluded the Season of Creation 2026 on October 4 with the blessing and distribution of 300 fruit-bearing tree seedlings to families. Guided by the theme “Immersion in Living Water,” the initiative turned prayer and reflection into a concrete practice of stewardship, entrusting families with the care of trees as a continuing commitment to protect and nurture creation.

SCAP - Gattaran listens to the hopes and experiences of its young people

SCAP - Gattaran gathered young people from different gimongs for the Parish Youth Assembly on September 27, 2026, providing a space to know one another, share experiences, and express their hopes for youth ministry. The gathering marked another step toward a more participatory, relational, and responsive youth ministry rooted in listening and accompaniment.

SCAP - Gattaran prepares Mangiwanwan for Rambak Santo Rosario 2026

The St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish conducted its September Ranud - Biag Parokia on September 27, 2026, focusing on the training of Mangiwanwan who will facilitate the Rambak Santo Rosario 2026 in different gimongs. The formation equipped lay leaders to guide their communities in prayer and strengthen participation in the parish-wide celebration.

SCAP - Gattaran blesses Marian images and Rambak Santo Rosario 2026 facilitators

On September 27, 2026, St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish blessed the images of the Blessed Virgin Mary and commissioned the Mangiwanwan who will facilitate Rambak Santo Rosario 2026 in different gimongs. The sending forth highlighted the parish’s mission to bring prayer closer to families and communities while strengthening shared responsibility and participation in parish life.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

A grace-filled and memorable celebration was held at St. Philomene Parish as young communicants received Jesus in the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. With gratitude to Rev. Fr. Carlos Bangay and Rev. Fr. Christian Ragguinan for leading the Eucharistic celebration, we pray that these young faithful may continue to grow in faith and remain close to Christ, the Bread of Life. 🙏✨

New Altar Servers Vow to Serve in Solemn Rites of Investiture

On October 4, 2026, 177 new altar servers were officially invested and commissioned during a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. Carlos A. Bangay, with Rev. Fr. Jhon Christian E. Ragguinan. Through the Rite of Investiture, the young servers received their albs and committed themselves to serving God with discipline, prayer, humility, and reverence, becoming role models in the Church, home, school, and community.

Honoring Wisdom & Grace: Celebrating Sunday of the Elderly

The parish celebrated the 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time and Sunday of the Elderly with a special prayer and Holy Water blessing led by Rev. Fr. Carlos A. Bangay. The celebration honored senior citizens for their wisdom, prayers, and enduring witness of faith, while praying for their continued health, strength, peace, and joy.

Parents of First Communicants Prepare Faith and Hearts in Parish Recollection

In preparation for the Grade 4 pupils’ First Holy Communion on October 7, 2026, the parish held a Parents’ Recollection led by Rev. Fr. Carlos A. Bangay and Rev. Fr. Jhon Christian E. Ragguinan. Parents and catechists from the four parish clusters gathered to reflect on the vital role of parents in nurturing their children’s faith. The recollection strengthened their commitment to guide and support their children in their Catholic journey.
