The St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish - Gattaran community gathered on September 27, 2026 for the Misa Pannakaibaon, during which images of the Blessed Virgin Mary were blessed alongside the commissioning and blessing of the Mangiwanwan, the facilitators who will lead the Rambak Santo Rosario 2026 in different gimongs across the parish.
The blessing marked an important step in the parish’s preparations for the upcoming celebration, as the Mangiwanwan will accompany and facilitate the praying of the Holy Rosary within their respective communities. The images of the Blessed Virgin Mary will likewise serve as visible reminders of the parish’s Marian devotion and the communal nature of the celebration.
In his message, Parish Priest Fr. Ramiro Geronimo reminded the Mangiwanwan that their role is not simply to lead an activity, but to help bring the prayer and presence of the parish closer to every community.
“As Mangiwanwan, you are not only facilitators of the Rambak Santo Rosario. You are being sent to bring people together in prayer, to strengthen our communities, and to help our families draw closer to the Blessed Virgin Mary and to her Son, Jesus.”
The blessing and commissioning reaffirmed the parish’s commitment to shared responsibility, stewardship, and missionary participation, as the different gimongs prepare to celebrate Rambak Santo Rosario 2026 together as one parish community.
