From Mexico to Tuguegarao City: Welcoming Our Lady of Guadalupe
With hearts filled with faith, joy, and thanksgiving, we are honored to welcome the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe as she makes her pilgrimage from Mexico to the Philippines.
This year marks a deeply significant milestone in the history of the devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe—the 500th anniversary of the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Saint Juan Diego at Tepeyac, Mexico. Five centuries after that extraordinary encounter, the message of Our Lady continues to inspire generations of faithful throughout the world, calling us to deeper faith, hope, love, and trust in God.
In this spirit of faith and devotion, the Guadalupe Philippine Pilgrimage 2026 will bring the presence of Our Lady of Guadalupe to Tuguegarao City, offering the faithful an opportunity to come together in prayer and thanksgiving and to honor the Blessed Mother.
From October 8 to 11, 2026, the St. Peter Metropolitan Cathedral Parish will become a place of prayer, encounter, and celebration as devotees, families, pilgrims, and communities gather to welcome Our Lady of Guadalupe from Mexico.
This pilgrimage is more than a visit. It is an invitation to renew our faith and to draw closer to Christ through the loving intercession of His Mother. As we welcome Our Lady, may we also welcome her message of hope and conversion into our hearts and homes.
The journey of Our Lady of Guadalupe from Mexico to the Philippines reminds us of the universal nature of the Catholic faith—a faith that transcends borders, cultures, and generations. From Tepeyac to the Philippines, the devotion to Our Lady continues to unite people in prayer and bring communities together in love for God and for one another.
As we prepare for this historic celebration, we invite everyone to take part in the pilgrimage and to make these days an opportunity for prayer, reflection, thanksgiving, and communion with the Church.
